Briefing

The Allies must infiltrate the Axis Oasis garrison to destroy two anti-tank guns: either through the Old City or a flooded cave system. The Axis must protect their anti-tank guns and repel the Allied raiders.

LMS Briefing

A deserted desert town is the scene for a lethal combat. Battle rages through the abandoned ruins as Axis and Allied troops clash for possession of this strategically vital oasis. It's a fight to the death, with sand.

The Axis defences were tougher to crack than the Allies suspected. The Allies' dismal failure to take the Oasis position by either guile or force has held up their armoured advance for weeks. Allied Supreme Command are unimpressed with the quality of troops made available to them. The Axis forces have shown themselves to be heroically skilled in defence and can rest secure in the knowledge that their military ability has been proved superior to the Allies. The Axis will retain sizable forces in North Africa for some time yet.

Scenario

The Rebels must infiltrate the neutral Old City of Bestine, Tatooine which is overrun by Imperial forces. Imperial forces stand waiting. Rebels must destroy two anti-tank blasters: either through the Old City or a flooded cave system. The Empire must protect these anti-tank blasters which is their only defense against the Rebels.

Allies: Destroy the anti-tank blasters in the Oasis garrison. Infiltrate the position: Either over the rooftops of the Old City or repair pumps, drain the flooded caves and attack through them.

Axis: Protect the anti-tank blaster cannons in the Oasis garrison at all costs. Beware of attacks through the Old City of Bestine or the flooded cave system to your rear.

Allied Objectives

  1. Primary Objective: Destroy the anti-tank blasters in the north.
  2. Primary Objective: Destroy the anti-tank blasters in the south.
  3. Primary Objective: Breach the Old City Wall.
  4. Secondary Objective: Capture the Old City.
  5. Secondary Objective: Repair the Oasis Water Pump and drain the water out of the Caves leading to the Old City.
  6. Secondary Objective: Repair the Old City Water Pump and drain the water out of the Caves leading to the Imperial defenses.
  7. Secondary Objective: Establish a forward Command Post at the Oasis.
  8. Secondary Objective: Prevent the Empire from fortifying their position with a Command Post in the Upper Garrison.

Axis Objectives

  1. Primary Objective: Protect the anti-tank blasters.
  2. Primary Objective: Protect the anti-tank blasters.
  3. Primary Objective: Defend the Old City Wall from being breached.
  4. Secondary Objective: Defend the Old City of Bestine.
